A blogger friend I follow, Lyndsay, recently blogged about what things say "summer" to her and asked her readers the same question. So I'll answer...
1) I'm stealing this from Lyndsay because it is true. My toe nails are freshly painted. The only time they are is in summer. The rest of the year they may bear flaking paint, and are much more scary.
2) Heading out to the back yard by 9am and not re-entering the house until 3pm only because it is too hot to breathe outside!
3) My potty-training son running around half-or full-naked and perfecting his peeing aim in the back yard.
4) My newly rediscovered love of A/C in my car.
5) Clothes pins! Hanging laundry on the line to dry!

Looks like a fun summer so far.
And the smell of a pool is what says summer to me!
Love it! The A/C one is good! Where is that water park? Looks awesome.
I think that is such a neat tradition celebrating Tristan's 1/2bday in the summer. My bday is Dec 17 and my mom used to always let me have a "summer party" to celebrate, since it was hard to do something big around the holidays. Good memories. :)
PRICELESS!
